CARL'S STORY
When you grow up being made fun of on how poor you and your mom are because she is on disability welfare. From clothes I wore in school to all sorts of other things I was ridiculed and disregarded. It gave me the inspiration to prove people wrong. I got a full ride scholarship to Oregon State and my freshman year at OSU I was New Comer of the year for the PAC-10 and then my mom got sick again and transferred back to Boise to take care of her and play at Boise State. I was a walk on for the 1981 season and had to pay tuition by myself. I earned a scholarship after the 1981 redshirt season and now I’m in the BSU HOF and I’m the only defensive player to ever average over 130 tackles in 3 straight years. Please help other athletes like me that are walk ons to have the experience I had at Boise State.
PROJECT BEYOND BLUE
Beyond Blue is a scholarship created by 3-Time All American & Boise State Hall Of Fame Football Legend Carl Keever. Impoverished walk on students from all sports will benefit from this extraordinary charity. Our goal is to stock our programs with OKG’s while impacting student athletes from low income families in a positive way.
Student Academic Achievement Fund Requirements
- Good Standing Active Roster Status
- Maintain Acceptable GPA Standard Determined By Boise State
- Active Role In 6 Community Service Projects
PROJECT B.S.U.
Project BSU directs your tax deductible gift to the sports program of your choice allowing the Head Coach to gain the capital to staff the most Elite Coaching Talent. When checking out make to sure to hashtag it with either the Head Coach Name or Sport (ex. #Danielson or #Softball), and your donation will be deposited directly to the account. By contributing this way it will allow the staff to appropriate their existing budget for other essential programmatic needs.
