Help Boise State Great & Teacher, Andrew Woodruff's Medical Recovery
On May 20th form Boise State Bronco great Right Guard Andrew Woodruff experienced a sudden life-threathening medical situation. Woodruff underwent a six-hour emergency open heart surgery due to a ruptured aorta. He was on the brink, but gratefully St. Luke’s Dr. Rachel Heneghan oversaw a successful surgery.
Andrew played OL for Boise State 2005-2008 and won the 2007 Fiesta Bowl. During his senior year Woodruff blocked for Kellen Moore.
Andrew was drafted by the CFL where he won 2 Grey Cups before coming back to Idaho to teach. He is loved by his students in Kuna Middle School.
Andrew Woodruff is a devoted husband to Cari and Dad to Landon. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him so his fellow teammate Tad Miller has set up a GO FUND ME to help the Woodruff’s financially.
